Meet Rufus the Dog he/him — A highly introverted golden retriever. When in a group, he loves to hide his face behind others. Uses a fishbowl as a space helmet. Rufus loves anything that has the theme and word "science" stamped onto it. His latest read was Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and he cried quietly behind the pages. The Society is aware that he does not like to be disturbed while he sits in a corner licking his own tears. He comforts himself with a bed of plastic balls prepared by everyone in the bookshop, which he appreciates in return, by baking cookies for them to go with their afternoon tea.
